Tonight’s Akron Chamber of Commerce Cruise night in Akron has been cancelled due to the weather forecast.

The village of Akron Electric along with the county forestry crews will be tree trimming and removing trees on Parkview Dr. from the intersection of East Ave & Parkview Dr. heading south past the bridge on Parkview Dr. to the entrance of Erie County Park off Parkview Dr. The county will close the road on June 3 & 4 from 6:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. each day for crews to work safely and efficiently. This closer will also affect walkers as well to ensure their safety. Traffic will still be able to turn onto East Ave from Parkview Dr. and

SCENES FROM NEWPORT CHRISTMAS were filmed in Akron last week. The Village of Akron winter parking ban has been lifted for the remainder of the 2025 season.
