Thaddeus M. Kolankowski

Thaddeus M. Kolankowski, Sr. “Ted” of Clarence, New York formerly of Alden, NY passed away July 28, 2026.  He was born February 12, 1937.

Beloved husband of 69 years to Mary (nee Walczyk) Kolankowski; dear father of Thaddeus (Denise) Kolankowski Jr., Catherine Kroh, Timothy (Kristen Tjaden)) Kolankowski, Daniel (Dawn) Kolankowski, Cynthia (Rick) Quintanal and John (Denise Orszulak) Kolankowski; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family was present to receive friends at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY on Monday, August 3 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John’s RC Church, Alden, NY on Tuesday, August 4 at 10 AM (please assemble at church).  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alden/Marilla Food Pantry. 

Ted was a Scout Master with the Bennington Boy Scout Troop 474 and a Commander with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Erie, PA   He was instrumental in starting the Food Pantry in North East, PA and continued to volunteer with the Alden Food Pantry.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Cowlesville Fire Dept.
