State Legislature approves legislation promoting cooperation in municipal planning and zoning

The New York State Legislature has approved legislation sponsored by state Senator George H. Winner, Jr. (R-C-Elmira) and Assemblyman David Koon (D-I-Perinton) that adds new provision to encourage cooperation in municipal planning and zoning in communities. The two measures were developed and advanced as a bi-partisan initiative by the NYS Legislative Commission on Rural Resources.
