C. Dee Wright Community Ministry Center dedicated

A NEW FLAG flies at the C. Dee Wright Community Ministry Center at the corner of John and Church Street. Boy Scout Troop 559 presented the Rev. Wayne West, pastor of Akron First United Methodist Church, with a new flag during dedication of the Wright Center, retiring the flags which flew when the building housed the Newstead Town Hall, and raising the new flag in a ceremony which followed the dedication. Mr. Wright served with Troop 559 for many years . The old court room of the former Newstead Town Hall was filled as the community came together to dedicate the C. Dee Wright Community Ministry Center on Sunday afternoon.
