Michael J. Adamczyk, 40 of Akron, New York passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his residence. He was born July 28, 1984, a son of Terry (Pempsell) Adamczyk of Akron and the late David Adamczyk. Mike was an assistant manager for Orville’s Home Appliance in Amherst, NY. Dawn M. Rastelli, 61, of Gasport, New York, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. Born in Batavia, NY on November 30, 1962, Dawn was a beacon of love, warmth, and strength to all who knew her. For 44 years, she was the beloved wife of Vincent Rastelli, whom she married on August 9, 1980. Together, they created a loving home and raised four sons, Vincent (Allie) Rastelli, Daniel (Tina) Rastelli, Thomas Rastelli, and Christopher (Allison) Stacey. Akron Central’s varsity field hockey team clinched their first league win against the Barker Bulldogs with a final score of 3-0 on Saturday. Morgan Tomporowski got the ball rolling in the first quarter scoring at 9:03 with an assist from Mackenzie Tomporowski. Then, in the second quarter, Julia Klodzinski added to the score netting two goals – the first assisted by Morgan Tomporowski. The team goalkeeper Marissa Brege not only achieved a shutout but also recorded six saves, facing a penalty corner and one shot on goal.
