Akron DPW has been installing Hometown Heroes banners in the village. The banners will be dedicated on Friday, September 16 at 7 p.m., according to Kristy Pingitore who chairs the program. All are welcome to the dedication which will take place in Russell Park. The banners will stay in place from installation this Fall throughout 2023, according to Pinigtore. The market, which began in 2021 at the corner of Cedar & Eckerson. is now located in Russell Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sundays.
